Summer Day Looks

As the Sun plays hide and seek, it’s time you mastered the latest make-up trend. Make your sun kissed glow look more modern by trying a sculpted bronze look. This season try our most recommended summer daytime and evening makeup mantra.

STEP BY STEP SUMMER DAY LOOK

PREP YOUR SKIN

ONE: Start off with a clean and moisturized face. Use a moisturizer that suits your skin type and offers day-long hydration. This will plump up your skin, providing a smooth, even surface for makeup application. Remember to use a moisturizer with SPF.  Recommended: SHESEIDO – Extra Smooth Sun Protection Lotion SPF 38 PA++

TWO: Make sure to prep up your eyes and skin with primer.

THREE: Spray MAC’s Fix + on your face evenly, this will help your makeup stay fresh for the day.

FACE

FOUR: Apply foundation and concealer. Concealer is blended well to hide any dark circles. Use Powder to set your base.

FIVE: Brush on some highlighter on top of your cheekbones and cheeks.

SIX: Choose a bronzer that’s not too shimmery, matte or orange. Add it to the high point on the face using a big kabuki brush. If you are not someone who likes to use bronzer, instead simply apply a nude or soft coral blush on the apple of your cheeks.

SEVEN: With a contouring brush apply the same bronzer right under your cheek bones and jawline. This will highlight your cheek bones and give your face a sculpted look.

EYES

EIGHT: Eye shadow with a matte natural skin tone is blended on the eyelids to just beneath the brow, including the inner corners. Another alternative is using your highlighter as base shadow.

NINE: With a contouring brush for eyes; same bronzer is blended well into the eye socket for depth.

TEN: Bronzy or Dark Brown Eyeliner is applied with a fine angle brush along the upper lash line. Followed by, a coloured liner on the bottom lash line. You can match it with your outfit.

ELEVEN: Curl your lashes and apply a thin layer of mascara on the top lashes only.

TWELVE: Eyebrows are filled and defined using a brow shader.

LIPS:

THIRTEEN: The last and my personal favorite step, applying gloss! You may choose to apply a peachy, coral, baby pink or even nude gloss.

STEP BY STEP TRANSFORMATION of your DAY LOOK INTO AN EVENING LOOK:

ONE: Make Sure to blot out any excess oil on your face with blotting paper

TWO: Powder yourself in oily areas with some Translucent or Setting Powder. This will help you look fresh and matte all day.

THREE: Darken your upper lash line eyeliner (black), with an angled eyeliner brush.

FOUR:  A darker shadow matching your outfit is blended well in the crease to add more depth.

FIVE: False lashes are optional

SIX: Two or three coats of Mascara is applied to top and bottom lashes

SEVEN: Coral, peach or baby pink blush is applied right under the check bones.

EIGHT: Nude lipstick is applied all over your lips. A lip brush is used to create a long lasting finish. Lip gloss matching with your blush enhances lips with a gorgeous, shimmery, glossy shine.
