“Wheelchair Basketball Week provides a safe environment for athletes of all abilities to come together, see some old faces, make some new friends and play the best sport in the world,” said 2024 WBW Community Champion, Kevin MacEachern of the Chilliwack Cheetahs in Chilliwack, BC.
Wheelchair Basketball Canada is thrilled to bring the WBW excitement to Ottawa’s post-secondary campuses ahead of the Ottawa 2026 IWBF Wheelchair Basketball Worlds Championships. Through dynamic events and activations, we’ll engage students, faculty and staff at Ottawa 2026 venue Carleton University, Collège La Cité and Algonquin College to promote awareness, encourage participation and highlight the inclusive spirit of wheelchair basketball.
