About Vivek Canada

Since its inception in 2006, Vivek Canada has been tirelessly working to fight poverty and create long-term improvements for children and families in rural India. With a special focus on the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh, the charity operates schools in underserved villages, offering free primary education to children who would otherwise have limited access to learning opportunities. As of today, Vivek Canada has established four schools and more than 2,500 children have completed their elementary school education and many have gone on to complete their higher studies and work in various professions. Vivek Canada’s local program in Metro Vancouver, Dawn to Dusk exemplifies Vivek Canada’s commitment to fostering community through intergenerational engagement, bringing together youth and seniors to explore and celebrate Indian culture. Vasant Utsav is a continuation of this mission, creating a space for people of all ages to come together and build stronger, more connected communities.
