VANCOUVER, BC, January 25, 2024 – The BC Home & Garden Show is thrilled to announce an extraordinary culinary lineup featuring Vancouver’s top chefs and restaurateurs. This year on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada, notable local chefs and restaurateurs will be sharing new recipes, classic culinary tricks and the latest food trends. With top-notch talent, including Bruno Feldeisen, French chef, restaurateur and TV personality, Giuseppe Cortinovis, chef, entrepreneur and pizza maestro at Nightingale Restaurant, Tommy Shorthouse, executive chef of Fanny Bay Oysters and many others, Showgoers will discover new ways of cooking and skills to bring into their kitchens at home.

Bruno Feldeisen, chef, restaurateur and judge on Netflix Canada and CBC‘s The Great Canadian Baking Show
Bringing passion and energy together to craft unique cooking experiences, Chef Bruno Feldeisen brings nearly three decades of culinary experience to his role as a judge onCBC‘s The Great Canadian Baking Show, now recruiting for its eighth season. Bruno has worked at several restaurants in Los Angeles, and New York, and opened an American-French restaurant, Soléa, in San Francisco. He further expanded his horizons when he became a pastry chef instructor at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts in Vancouver, BC.
Bruno will be appearing on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada on Saturday, February 10 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, February 11 at 11 a.m.
Giuseppe Cortinovis, chef, entrepreneur and pizza maestro at Nightingale Restaurant
Giuseppe Cortinovis has been an Italian pizza specialist since 2009, originally from San Pellegrino Terme, Italy. In 2014, sponsored by the Glowbal Group, he became a permanent resident in Canada, contributing to various restaurant openings throughout Vancouver. In 2017, he founded lovemypizza.com consulting, teaching at the School of Italian Pizza. Giuseppe also won “Canadian Pizza Chef of the Year” in 2019 and 2023, competing in the World Pizza Championship in 2024.
Giuseppe will be appearing on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canadaon Friday, February 9 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, February 11 at 2 p.m.
Tommy Shorthouse, executive chef of Fanny Bay Oysters
As the executive chef at Fanny Bay Oysters, Tommy delights guests with his creative ‘tide-to-table’ menu showcasing the very best fresh and sustainable ingredients that B.C. has to offer. After graduating from VCC’s Culinary Arts program in 2013 he completed his Red Seal Certificate. Throughout his 16-year career in the industry, Tommy has cultivated his passion for seafood and West Coast cuisine while working in back-of-house roles at legendary Vancouver restaurants such as Joe Fortes, Homer Street Café, Wild Tale and Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, where he was part of the restaurant’s acclaimed opening team led by award-winning Executive Chef Alex Chen.
Tommy will appear on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada on Saturday, February 10 at 2:30 p.m.
Craig Sung, executive chef of Forage Restaurant
Chef Craig Sung is making waves behind the scenes with his farm-to-table approach and innovative culinary style when it comes to the food he chooses to serve. Born in Arizona, USA, and raised in Burnaby, BC, Chef Craig’s culinary journey began with enrollment in the apprenticeship program at VCC, where he honed his skills and acquired his Red Seal Certificate.
In 2019, Chef Craig joined Forage as the executive sous chef, showcasing his culinary prowess and dedication to excellence. His exceptional talent and commitment to his craft earned him the esteemed title of executive chef of Forage, Forage Catering, and Jervis Joint.
Craig will be appearing on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada on Thursday, February 8 at 3 p.m.
Behshad Zolnasr, executive chef at C | Prime
After graduating from culinary school at the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts, Behshad worked under renowned chefs at many Michelin-starred spots around the globe like Ristorante Mamma Angelina in Rome, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London and Jean-Georges in New York City before returning to Vancouver.
Behshad was the executive chef at West Vancouver’s Café Ça Va and Rive Gauche Bistro when it claimed the ‘Best North Shore’ and also led the culinary teams at Vancouver’s Served Catering, Seaside Provisions in North Vancouver and Frankie’s Italian Kitchen & Bar locations in Vancouver and Chilliwack.
Behshad will appear on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada on Friday, February 9th at 1 p.m.
Daniel Kenney, head chef at Dahlia
Chef Daniel’s culinary journey began in childhood, surrounded by the bounty of a large garden at home. He then decided to pursue culinary education at George Brown College in Toronto. Eager for new challenges, Chef Daniel set his sights on Toronto, initially working at Le Germain Hotel, his journey continued with roles at Estia and Rosewater Supper Club. Chef Daniel then ventured from Toronto to Vancouver. Joining Glowbal Group, Pinnacle Group, and finally Executive Hotels.
Daniel will appear on The Cooking Stage, presented by Food Network Canada on Sunday, February 11 at 3 p.m.
