Shelina Mawani was born in Mwanza, Tanzania. In 2000, Shelina co-founded Nana’s Kitchen & Hot Sauces Ltd., under her leadership as President and CEO, the Company has been recognized as one of the top women-owned businesses in British Columbia. Nana’s Kitchen is also a certified women’s business enterprise, with a team that is 90% women. Shelina’s journey is guided by her inspiring philosophy of the “3 C’s”: Conversation, Calibration, and Celebration. Throughout her career, Shelina has received numerous awards. She is the first Canadian woman to receive a Businesswoman of the Year award at the House of Lords in the UK.
