SABA -A Driving force for SOUTH ASIAN BUSINESSES AND SUPPORTS EDUCATION

SABA has raised $ 100,000 from its golf tournaments for Kwantlen Polytechnic University

South Asian Business Association (SABA) provides a premier platform for businesses of BC to discuss issues, opportunities, and policies on businesses. By maintaining mutual respect for its members, the organization works towards enhancements of the image of South Asian Businesses. SABA listens to its constitutes and plans to grow along with the help and cooperation of people like you. SABA is supporting education to ensure that all students regardless of their financial, socio-economic or any other circumstances have access to good education which will enable them to succeed in life.”

Some stalwarts of the business community known for the spirit of giving got together and conceived the idea of having an organization which will provide a premier platform for businesses of BC to discuss issues, opportunities, and policies on transactions.

SABA plans to have the following activities to achieve the mission it has embarked on:

Holding regular business networking meetings.

Liaison with all levels of administration/government to help small businesses in BC.

Organizing annual events promoting the spirit of camaraderie and opportunity to network.

This will only be possible with your active support and involvement, so you are invited to join this movement known as SABA-where businesses connect.

South Asian Business Association of British Columbia (SABA) has already established $90,000 endowment funds at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. These endowments funds will generate four annual scholarships of $1000 each. These annual scholarships will be awarded forever. South Asian Business Association of B.C presented the 10th yearly Networking golf tournament Friday, July 20th, 2018, Northview Golf Course to support the entrepreneurial scholarship for a business program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and moreover, has raised another $10,000 for following endowment funds.  SABA has now raised $ 100,000 from its golf tournaments for Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

On behalf of Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU), I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the South Asian Business Association (SABA) for your continued commitment to support post-secondary education at KPU. Please know that the students, faculty, and staff of KPU greatly value SABA’s continued involvement. SABA demonstrates to students that the business community is behind them, directly providing the essential support they need, to spend less time worrying about their finances, and more time focusing on their studies and gaining skills that enable them and the businesses they will serve to remain competitive on a global stage.

SABA has four endowment awards in the following program areas at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU),

South Asian Business Association Endowed Award for Business;

South Asian Business Association Endowed Award for Internationally Educated Nurses;

South Asian Business Association Endowed Award for Journalism;

NEW* South Asian Business Association Endowed Award for Psychiatric Nursing

Thank you all once again for your incredible contributions and continued commitment to KPU. It is an honor to be working with SABA, and we look forward to assisting on your golf tournament this summer, and many more meetings and events soon together!”

Sincerely,

Pamela Pittman
