Richmond’s ViewStar community in Richmond, B.C. donated $100,000 towards the construction of a new Acute Care Tower at Richmond Hospital, Yuanheng Holdings announced at their Golf + Dinner event on Monday, July 9. “It is our hope this gift will inspire all residents and businesses to see the joy of philanthropy and the importance of giving back to help improve our local health care,” said Grant Lin, Owner and President, Yuanheng Holdings.
“We wish to thank Yuanheng Holdings and the ViewStar community for their leadership and generosity to help ensure high-quality, local health is there for generations to come in Richmond,” said Natalie Meixner, President and CEO, Richmond Hospital Foundation.
Richmond Hospital needs a new Acute Care Tower to replace the original hospital tower, which is now more than 50 years old and no longer meets the needs of our growing and rapidly aging population. On March 29, the provincial government announced the Province has approved the concept plan for a new tower, and the project has moved to the business planning stage. The scope of the new facility and final budget stage is expected to take 12 to 18 months.
Yuanheng Holdings is a real-estate developer based in Vancouver. Since 2004, Yuanheng has independently developed numerous real estate projects in prime locations throughout the Lower Mainland. Their current residential project in Richmond is called ViewStar.
Over 30 years, Richmond Hospital Foundation has raised over $80 million to help purchase vital medical equipment, improve patient care services and upgrade facilities at Richmond Hospital.
