- Community – We believe that people should be empowered and given the opportunity to redefine what is possible for themselves and their communities;
- Environment – We support initiatives that sustain our robust ecosystem; and
- Education – We support opportunities for academic success and leadership initiatives.
The 25 grants will be decided by a group comprised of OpenRoad Foundation’s board, advisory committee, and Shea Studler, OpenRoad Foundation Manager. Successful grant applicants must have CRA non-profit status and align with one of OpenRoad Foundation’s three key pillars – Community, Environment, and/or Education.
Since OpenRoad Foundation’s inception in 2023, over $750,000 has been gifted to 28 nonprofit organizations in British Columbia and Ontario.
“Our 25 in 25 Grant Initiative highlights what OpenRoad Foundation stands for: making meaningful contributions that reflect our shared values,” says Studler. “We encourage all eligible non-profits and charities in Metro Vancouver and Greater Toronto to apply when applications open on January 1, 2025.”
