Mr. Michael Ching, a real estate developer in Vancouver and Richmond, has generously donated $200,000 to the new acute care tower in Richmond. Extending his generosity even further, Mr. Ching has partnered with South China Morning Post, donating $50,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Surgical Restart campaign. Mr. Ching has also donated 25,000 masks to Vancouver Diamonds Lions Club as a part of their disposable masks fundraiser for Richmond Hospital Foundation.
“I am very thankful for Richmond Hospital and all of the work the doctors, nurses and staff have offered through this pandemic and more,” says Michael Ching. “Having lived in Richmond for a decade and Richmond being home to most of my projects and work, this contribution is a thank you for the care the hospital has provided for its community over all of these years.”
As a business owner in Richmond, Mr. Ching is dedicated to helping Richmond Hospital and health care in the community, recognizing the need for new equipment, new facilities and the importance of providing the best in care to those living in Richmond.

Mr. Ching’s latest project is the International Trade Centre in Richmond, a complex featuring two office towers and a luxury hotel. In 2012, he was among the recipients of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, awarded for significant contributions to the community. He has also been an active member of the Richmond Mandarin Lion’s Club, and a generous donor to various charitable causes.
