For the second consecutive year, Yolando and Bill Chao have made a generous donation of more than $3,000 to Richmond Hospital Foundation toward the new Acute Care Tower through the McHappy Day campaign. Volunteers from the Richmond Hospital Foundation joined the staff in serving coffee, preparing food, and welcoming customers for an annual day of community giving. McHappy Day took place this year on May 8.

For every hot drink, burger and happy meal that was purchased, one dollar was given to a charity.

Bill and Yolanda Chao have owned McDonald’s franchises in Richmond since 2014. A former nurse at Richmond Hospital, Mrs. Chao is especially passionate about raising funds for the new acute care tower in Richmond. Chao’s Generation Inc. has committed to making a gift in support of the new tower from proceeds of McHappy Days over five years.
