The Make In India was initiated in September 25, 2014, with the aim of encouraging multinational and domestic companies to manufacture their products in India.
Make In India’s initiative and India’s approach is not only market, consumption or compulsions. Its approach is how we serve the need by producing a product in this ever-changing world by keeping the environment and human rights in the mind.
Therefore, ‘Zero defect zero effect’ is a key phrase which has come to be associated with the Make in India campaign. That simply says the product we are going to produce has 0% defects but same time it’s not creating even 0% adverse effect towards the environment. They all are eco-friendly products produced by technology.
This event was hosted at Indian Consulate and it was a joint venture between Indian Consulate and Canada-India Global Forum. This event was a great success to enhance bilateral trade ties between two great democracies such as Canada and India. Canada – India Global forum is a coast to coast organization which engages around 5000 – 6000 Indo-Canadians.
