Make-A-Wish Canada’s 3rd annual Wishes on the Roof, which took place on February 12 on the rooftop of the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
The evening brought together community leaders, donors, and wish families for an intimate and impactful night in support of children living with critical illnesses. Highlights included live entertainment from Marie Hui, as well as an emotional surprise wish reveal for local child Houston, made even more memorable with a special appearance by the 501st Legion.
The evening exceeded expectations, raising more than $440,000 — a 42% increase from last year — helping grant 44 life-changing wishes for children across B.C. and Yukon.

“We are deeply grateful for the incredible support shown at this year’s sold-out third annual Wishes on the Roof, presented by Capital Direct I Income Trust. Because of the generosity of our community, we raised an extraordinary $440,000, with additional donations still coming in. These funds will help grant 44 life-changing wishes for children facing critical illness here in BC & Yukon, including Houston, whose wish we were honoured to reveal during the evening. Moments like this are a powerful reminder of what is possible when a community comes together with heart, purpose, and hope.” – Christie Buono, Director, Philanthropy, Make-A-Wish Canada.
