Surrey, BC – Khalsa Credit Union held its Annual Scholarship Gala on Monday, June 23rd, at Royal Banquet Hall in Surrey, BC. The event honored outstanding students and reinforced the credit union’s commitment to supporting education and community development.




This year, Khalsa Credit Union awarded 39 scholarships with each scholarship valued at $2,500. The scholarships were distributed across seven categories: Khoj – Academic, Soorma – Sports, Vidhiya – Religious, Aasraa – High School Bursary, Aasraa – Post Secondary Bursary, Kalakaar – Fine Arts and Applied Skills, and International Student.





Since the program’s inception in 1995, Khalsa Credit Union has contributed over $1 million to support students pursuing higher education. The event featured a Kirtan performance by Japleen Kaur, Rabia Kaur, and Harkirat Singh, adding to the celebratory atmosphere.
