Surrey, BC – The Sandhu family is dedicated to changing the outcome for families across B.C. affected by cancer.

They used their passion to organize an event, the Unite Against Cancer Gala, which was hosted through their Ray of Hope Charitable Society. The gala took place at the Grand Taj Banquet Hall in Surrey and raised $76,330 for the BC Cancer Foundation.

Longtime Foundation supporter William McCarthy then generously matched that amount, resulting in an incredible $152,660 donation to help support the latest in cancer research breakthroughs and enhancements to patient care at BC Cancer.

One in two British Columbians will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime, and proceeds from the Unite Against Cancer Gala will help make a difference in the lives of those facing cancer across the entire province.

The Sandhu family and the BC Cancer Foundation would like to thank all of the donors, sponsors, volunteers and guests who helped make the event possible.
