“InspireHealth has been a constant source of support, giving me tools, compassion, and connection during a time when I needed it most.” – Isha, InspireHealth Patient
For nearly three decades, InspireHealth Supportive Cancer Care (www.inspirehealth.ca) has helped patients navigate cancer with strength, dignity, and hope. More than just a service provider, InspireHealth is a lifeline, a trusted partner in cancer care, offering free programs designed to empower patients, enhance their well-being, and improve quality of life. Our supportive care is available to anyone affected by cancer, regardless of the type and stage of cancer, right from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
With virtual services available to patients and caregivers across BC, and in-person support through Centres in Vancouver, Victoria, and Kelowna as well as through community outreach, InspireHealth offers a wide range of services to support the whole person – mind, body, and spirit.
“At InspireHealth, the patient is at the centre of everything we do,” says Loveena Chera, CEO. “We help people feel empowered and supported through their cancer journey —emotionally, physically, and spiritually.”
Care That Meets You Where You Are
Cancer can affect every part of life – your relationships, your energy, your confidence, and your ability to cope. InspireHealth’s clinical team have expertise in supportive cancer care and offer personalized one-on-one support along with comprehensive group programs, all designed to meet patients’ unique goals, values, and needs.
One-on-One Services include:
- Supportive care physician consultations to help navigate cancer treatments and manage life beyond cancer.
- Counselling to support emotional well-being through mindfulness, art therapy, visualization and more.
- Exercise therapy to build strength, mobility, and improve energy at any stage of the cancer journey.
- Nutrition consultations to address specific concerns such as nausea, digestion issues, and poor appetite.
This integrative approach helps patients manage side effects, build resilience, and regain a sense of control.
“Our goal is to support the whole person, not just the disease,” says Loveena. “That includes physical recovery, mental well-being, and the opportunity to connect with a community of support.”

Connection plays a powerful role in our health and well-being. That’s why InspireHealth also offers a variety of free group classes and programs, many of which are accessible online to support patients as well as their loved ones.

InspireHealth also offers the renowned Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, and a 6-week Stronger Together exercise series that builds confidence and consistency.
And because caregivers need support too, InspireHealth offers monthly workshops tailored to support people, and opens nearly all classes (except exercise) to loved ones.
Focused on Growth, Grounded in Equity
InspireHealth serves thousands across BC every year and the organization continues to see a growing demand for its services. InspireHealth is focused on reaching more patients, delivering culturally relevant programs, and strengthening its role within the broader healthcare community.
“As cancer incidence rises, the need for wrap-around support is greater than ever,” says Loveena. “We are committed to expanding access, especially in growing and diverse communities like Surrey, to ensure that everyone receives the care they deserve.”
Through ongoing partnerships, outreach, and clinical innovation, InspireHealth is actively working to increase its presence in underserved communities, enhance virtual offerings, and ensure programs reflect the lived experiences of those they serve.
