This year’s GNA Talks Conference 3.0 is only 10 days away! Have you bought your tickets yet? If not, you can buy them here.
We are excited to announce three incredible speakers and personalities at this years event:
1) Harman Kaur: Phulkari Weaving Poems for my People
Also known as @__Harmankaur on instagram, Harman Kaur will be talking about what lays at the intersections of Punjabi Sikh Identity, specifically in context to kaurs. With the help of Phulkari she will present a mixture of spoken word and storytelling to help the audience navigate through a complex journey of identity.
2) Kiranjot Kaur: Nurturing Growth
Also known as @thatsikhmama on instagram, Kiranjot Kaur will touch on parts of her post-partum journey after having children, and what has worked for her in learning how to overcome personal hurdles and keep a positive mindset.
3) Baljinder Kaur: Everyday Sikhi Through Everyday Art
Coming all the way from the UK, @blahjinder is an incredible artist who will be sharing snippets of her journey so far, as both a Sikh and an artist, and how the two have become inseparable. First the first time, we are having a talkback with our keynote speaker after her presentation. This gives the audience a valuable opportunity to ask questions and continue conversations.
We look forward to having you join us on this incredible night, Feb 23rd from 7-9 PM, at UBC Robson Square.
