Recognizing the urgent need to support local health care during the COVID-19 crisis, Richmond’s Everglade Development successfully raised $55,000 for Richmond Hospital Foundation as part of its #RichmondTOGETHER campaign this past April. The funds will be used to purchase essential medical equipment for patient care: a CPR machine and a vital signs monitor.
Everglade Development’s Allen Zu, Managing Director of Development and Construction, emphasizes the importance of giving back to the community: “Many of us live and work in Richmond, and have benefitted from Richmond Hospital’s great quality of care. In return, this was a great way for the Richmond community to pay it forward and show our immense gratitude to our local medical professionals.”
The #RichmondTOGETHER fundraising campaign, which ran from April 8 to 22, 2020, brought together donors, volunteers and leaders across the Richmond community to raise much-needed funds for Richmond Hospital Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
“We are extremely grateful to everyone in the Richmond community for your generous donation towards our COVID-19 Response Fund,” says Natalie Meixner, President and CEO, Richmond Hospital Foundation. “These funds will go a long way in helping us provide emergency lifesaving care for local residents. Thank you to Everglade Development for your leadership in spearheading this campaign.”
