A registered, Canadian non-profit organization that aims to mobilize young people and like-minded adults to give back to the community, the Dare to Dream (D2D) Destiny Foundation donated $10,000 to Richmond Hospital Foundation last October. Their gift will support the new Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre, a cornerstone of the Yurkovich Family Pavilion – new Richmond Hospital tower – scheduled to open in 2028.
Nicholas Chan, Richmond resident and member of D2D Destiny Foundation, is grateful for the quality of care his family has experienced at Richmond Hospital, especially from the Emergency Department’s medical team. “We are proud to support our local hospital team who, we know, takes great care of patients and families. We want to help further enable the health care teams provide the best possible care for those who need it at their most vulnerable times.”
Richmond Hospital Foundation is raising $20 million for its Medical Imaging Centre Campaign. Medical imaging is critical for diagnosing, tracking and monitoring medical conditions, and funds raised will support the latest medical imaging technologies in the future Milan & Maureen Ilich Medical Imaging Centre.
“It is inspiring to witness the passion and philanthropic effort of youth and their families in supporting our community”, shares Spencer Gall, Campaign Director, Richmond Hospital Foundation. “Thank you to Nicholas and the D2D families for your donation and for helping equip our health care teams with the technologies needed to make a positive impact for individuals and families in Richmond.”
