Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Canada Donates $40,000 For Richmond Hospital Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund

Realizing there would be urgent needs at Richmond Hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Canada reached out to Richmond Hospital Foundation offering support where it was needed most.

Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Canada has been a loyal donor of Richmond Hospital Foundation, supporting health care in Richmond for the last 14 years. Realizing there would be urgent needs at Richmond Hospital due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buddhist Compassion Relief Tzu Chi Foundation Canada reached out to Richmond Hospital Foundation offering support where it was needed most.

Members of the foundation generously donated $40,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, helping to purchase 2 vital signs monitors. They also made a donation of $28,000 funding the purchase of an external fixator for the orthopedic team at Richmond Hospital prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, the Tzu Chi Foundation Canada has generously contributed $489,000 in support of local health care in the Richmond community.
