About Amit Tandon
Amit Tandon is known as ‘The Married Guy’ of stand up comedy. After 2 kids and one marriage, he realized it couldn’t get any worse and took to comedy. He is unapologetically embarrassing to his kids like all fathers and irritating to his wife like a regular husband. That is the fertile ground where his humour is borne. Six years ago, Tandon was running his own HR consultancy firm and had never considered comedy as a career. It was out of sheer boredom that he went for an open-mic night for the first time. Two-and-a-half years of open mic nights later, he realised that people liked what he was bringing to the stage. Six years on, 20 million video views and 1000 shows across fifteen countries later, Amit has climbed the charts to become one of India’s best known observational comics. Amit has nearly 1.4 million subscribers on You tube and mesmerises audiences wherever he goes.
Tandon says, “The real masala lies in the lives of middle class Indians. I come from a middle class family myself and the constant struggles in our homes are hilarious. We are not poor and we will never be rich, for we spend more time in managing the money we have than in earning more!”

Amit has done over 1200 comedy shows across the world including US, UK, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Middle east and Singapore.
He recently finished a very successful US East coast tour with 20 shows across 16 cities, Out of which 17 were sold out.
Amit is the founder of Grandmasters of Comedy, a company focused on bringing stand-up comedy and spreading happiness to the corporate world. He is the runner up at CEOs GOT TALENT which was telecasted on CNBC TV 18. He is also the First Comedian featured on NDTV, Rising Stars of Comedy. Amit hosted the New Year show on Doordarshan and also led the “spread of the cheer” campaign for Comedy Central in Delhi.
Amit was also responsible for bringing a popular comedy face-off show of Singapore, “Fight Comic” to India.
He also hosted a weekly show “ Sannu Ki” on Radio City 91.1 for a year with Savita Bhatti. He appeared in Comedy Dangal (Optimistic Production). He is not only popular in small screen but has followers on social media as well. His videos have going viral over social media with over 50 million views.
A major reason for being popular with his audience is his humor from day to day life, which he converts into comedy..
