City of New Westminster Council and Staff installed and unveiled the Komagata Maru Interpretive Sign and after few weeks City of New Westminster is going to be Installed a Komagata Maru Ferry Docks Signs and Komagata Maru Trail Sign as well. Raj Singh Toor, grandson of one of the passengers on the Komagata Maru, and Vice President and spokesperson for the non-profit Descendants of the Komagata Maru Society was officially invited by the City of New Westminster, unveiling the Komagata Maru interpretive Signs event. Raj thanked the Mayor, Council and City staff for recognizing the komagata Maru passengers and also he shared the painful Kamagata Maru story of his grandfather.
