Our goal is to cultivate a diverse range of perspectives and skills, ensuring a more representative and inclusive governance structure. To achieve this, we are planning to seek approval from CPC member organizations for the ratification of associated by-laws in early May 2024. These changes mark a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to strengthen the foundation of our organization and foster a more collaborative and equitable environment for all involved.
The committee will play a pivotal role in nominating the slate of potential Board members for the CPC’s upcoming election in Spring 2025.
Nominations are sought for the following categories:
- One representative from a CPC member summer sport
- One representative from a CPC member winter sport
- One additional member who is a previous CPC Board member or a current Board member not running for re-election
- One individual with governance and DEI experience, not necessarily affiliated with the sports community
- One additional member, who may or may not necessarily be affiliated with the sports community
The term for nominations committee members will be approximately June 2024 to May 2025. This is a working committee with varied time commitment over the next year, with an increase expected in the second and third week of January 2025 for candidate interviews.
CPC is seeking a diverse mix of skills, backgrounds, and experiences for the committee and encourages individuals from various roles both within and outside of the sport community to apply.
