Without further ado, let us take a look at the upcoming movies lined up for release in the next few months.
Khandaani Shafakhana:
This comedy drama is scheduled for release during first week of August, Sonakshi Sinha plays the protagonist called Babita “Baby” Bedi, a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl who is willing to do anything for her family.
The movie was recently in news for recreating the song Sheher ki Ladki from Rakshak starring Raveena Tandon and Suniel Shetty.
It was recently revealed the original cast will appear with Diana Penty.
Mission Mangal:
The film is based loosely on the story of scientists at Indian Space Reaearch Organisation (ISRO) who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission that marked India’s first interplanetary expedition.
This movie has a great lineup of stars including Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sharman Joshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Tapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari among others.
It is scheduled for August 15, India’s Independence Day release.
Batla House:
The premise of the movie is inspired by the Batla House encounter that took place in Delhi on September 19 2008. John Abraham plays a police officer.
Scheduled for release on the same day as Mission Mangal, Batla House was shot in various locations including Mumbai, Jaipur, Nepal, Delhi, and Lucknow.
It also stars Ravi Kishen, and Nora Fatehi adds to the glamour quotient via “O Saki, Saki,” the item song.
The Zoya Factor:
Produced by Fox Star Studios, The Zoya Factor, starring Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman, is about Zoya Singh Solanki, an advertising executive, who is considered as a lucky charm for the Indian Cricket Team, however the captain of the team, Nikhil Khoda does not believe in such superstitions.
This film, a romantic-drama is an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel by the same name.
It is scheduled for a September release.
Dabangg 3:
This is the third installment in the Dabangg film series. The first two were released between 2010 and 2012. After a wait of almost seven years, fans will get to watch Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey and witness his daredevilry. Sonakshi Sinha, and Arbaaz Khan will essay their respective roles as Rajjo and “Makki”.
After the demise of Vinod Khanna, it was recently announced his brother, Pramod Khanna play Prajapati Pandey.
Danbangg 3 is all set to be released in December.
Good News:
The central theme of the movie is surrogacy and it is produced by Akshay Kumar and Karan Johar under their respective banners.
This romantic comedy stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor-Khan and Kiara Advani.
This is Dosanjh’s second film with Kapoor-Khan.
It is scheduled for a December release.
