Mississauga – Ont. Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. recently announced its looking to expand its retail network in Atlantic Canada as it welcomes the first dealerships with its new global image in the region: Steele Mitsubishi in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown Mitsubishi in P.E.I.
A key growth market for Mitsubishi Motors, there are currently nine Mitsubishi Motors dealerships in Atlantic Canada. In 2018, Trevors Mitsubishi opened its doors in Miramichi, New Brunswick. The company plans further expansion in the region to make it easier for East Coasters to buy a Mitsubishi Motors vehicle including the game-changing Outlander PHEV – Canada’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle.

Steele Mitsubishi celebrates its official grand opening over the next few weeks. Standing more than 20,000 sq. ft., Steele Mitsubishi is the first large-size dealership in Canada to open in the company’s striking new global image design. Owned by the Steele Auto Group, the dealership offers a bright and modern facility and state-of-the-art Drive-Thru Service Centre with eight bays. Steele Mitsubishi employs 36 people and is looking to continue to expand its team.
Islanders can now purchase Canada’s top-selling plug-in hybrid. Charlottetown Mitsubishi has the distinction of being the only Mitsubishi Motors dealership in P.E.I. and the only female dealer principal in the province. It stands at 9,000 sq. ft. and is outfitted with a Drive-Thru Service Centre. The dealership is supported by seven full-time staff and celebrates its official grand opening beginning June 20 and is ready to serve customers now.
The new global dealership visual identity was revealed in July 2018. The program is largely based on the new brand message, “Drive your Ambition”, and is intended to enhance the customer experience in a high-quality retail environment. The design features striking, black, white and grey colour schemes with dynamic red lines as an accent. Each dealership undergoing a new construction or renovation is using Canadian suppliers ranging from furniture to lighting to exterior elements and efficiency and sustainable measures such as LED lights.
With four unique vehicles competing in the rapidly growing crossover utility segments, including the Outlander PHEV, the world’s and Canada’s top-selling plug-in hybrids, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada has posted two back-to-back record years. The momentum continues with a retail rejuvenation plan that will see its dealerships strengthen its retail presence from coast-to-coast in a new global image. There are currently 58 renovation, new builds and expansion projects underway across Canada. Mitsubishi Motors has 93 dealerships in Canada with plans to grow to 100 dealerships over the next year.
