Storyboard unveiled at R.A. Nicholson Park

This permanent storyboard reinforces that we will learn from, and not forget the injustices of the past. Racism has no place in our City.”

“The biggest piece of advice I can give anyone, in any role, is to learn how to influence people to change their behavior. I took some conflict resolution courses as part of my Masters, and it taught me that the secret to solving issues was to ensure that you are truly listening to what someone’s concerns or issues are before you try and come up with solutions. It’s something I try and teach my kids as well. The pandemic is really bringing that into focus.”

A year ago, actress Agam Darshi was shooting in Sri Lanka on Deepa Mehta’s newest film Funny Boy, based off of the acclaimed book by Shyam Selvadurai. “Everything about the project was a dream come true. I had been a great admirer of Deepa’s for a long time and wanted to work with her. But to work with her on this film, and on thischaracter, is more than I could have asked for,” says Agam.

A New Beginning – Kids and families at the new Sunny Hill Health Centre at BC Children’s Hospital will now receive care in a place designed just for them.

Sunny Hill Health Centre is the only pediatric developmental care and rehabilitation centre of its kind in BC. Patients here may be recovering from life-altering events like traumatic injuries or strokes, or receive assessments or care for developmental conditions like cerebral palsy. These children often show resilience beyond their years.
