Easter Seals BC/Yukon is proud to announce that its 3rd Annual Around the World Dinner presented by the mister Blake foundation raised an impressive $138,500. Funds raised go towards programs and services supporting people with disabilities, specifically Easter Seals Summer Camps and the Easter Seals House.
The dinner event, held on April 16 at Terminal City Club, featured a menu crafted by the renowned Chef James Walt of Toptable Group. The evening brought together community leaders, advocates, and supporters for an unforgettable evening, connecting people over their passion for providing support for kids and adults with disabilities.

Around the World featured a series of heartwarming performances, inspiring speeches, and opportunities for guests to contribute to a cause that directly impacts thousands of lives each year. Stories shared during the evening included Chef Walt’s personal journey with Easter Seals House and memories shared by a camp family who reflected on the life changing impact on Ella, a 12 year-old camper. The funds raised during the evening will be used to support key programs and services for people with disabilities.
“We are truly moved by the incredible generosity and support from everyone who attended this year’s dinner,” said Tristan Klassen, acting CEO of Easter Seals BC/Yukon. “Our community came together in such an inspiring way to raise $138,500. These contributions will make a meaningful impact, helping us continue to provide valuable programs and services while working toward a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable society.”

The gala featured a special appearance by mister Blake, who not only dazzled the crowd with two hit songs, but also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the cause. “The impact that are a result of Easter Seals programs are only possible through the collaboration of passionate people coming together – locally and globally,” he shares. “Together, through our philanthropy, we are building a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.”
