Toronto. February 15, 2022 – levelFILM is proud to announce that Agam Darshi’s DONKEYHEAD will be released in Canadian theatres beginning March 11. Darshi wrote, directed, produced and stars in the film, which received a Stateside release on Netflix earlier this year. DONKEYHEAD also stars Stephen Lobo, Sandy Sidhu, Huse Madhavji, Kim Coates, Balinder Johal and Marvin Ishmael. Roger Moore of Movie Nation writes that DONKEYHEAD “Might be the best indie dramedy on Netflix right now.”
In DONKEYHEAD, Mona (Darshi), a failed writer, carves out a life of isolation while caring for her ailing traditional Sikh father, but when he has a debilitating stroke her three successful siblings show up on her doorstep determined to take control of the situation.
Talent will be in attendance at opening weekend Q&As scheduled in Toronto (March 11 at Cineplex Yonge & Dundas) and Vancouver (March 11 at Vancity Theatre) following early evening screenings. Exact attendees and times are to be announced. DONKEYHEAD also opens theatrically in Regina and Saskatoon on March 11.
