B.C.’s largest ticketed event surpasses 2025 attendance as the Fair welcomes guests to the new Freedom Mobile Arch and a bold new lineup of entertainment
The 2026 PNE Fair closed Monday evening after 15 days of rides, food, music, entertainment and unforgettable summer moments, welcoming 642,149 guests to Hastings Park — surpassing the 2025 Fair attendance of 612,404.

This year marked an exciting new chapter for the PNE, with the Freedom Mobile Arch welcoming Fairgoers for the first time as the new home of the PNE Summer Night Concerts and a new generation of entertainment experiences taking centre stage across the Fairgrounds. From the first performance of The Wizard of Oz on Ice to the return of the Westcoast Lumberjack Show and the 50th anniversary celebration of the SuperDogs, the 2026 Fair brought together major new productions and beloved traditions in a way that resonated strongly with Fairgoers.

“We are incredibly proud of what our team delivered this year,” says Shelley Frost, President and CEO of the PNE.“This Fair represented an important moment for the PNE. We welcomed guests into the Freedom Mobile Arch during the Fair for the first time, introduced exciting new productions and celebrated some of the traditions that have defined the Fair for generations. The response to the new programming has been fantastic, and hearing how much our guests enjoyed the variety of shows, exhibits and experiences has been incredibly rewarding.”

Other new and expanded programming included the British Columbia Tattoo, bringing more than 150 performers together for a spectacular celebration of military music, pipes and drums, culture and pageantry; Sean Kenney’s Animal Super Powers made with LEGO® bricks; the high-flying Nerveless Nocks Daredevil Circus; Breaking Battle Live; ColourJam; and a wide range of new food, entertainment and interactive experiences throughout the Fairgrounds.

The Fair also welcomed major cultural and community programming, including the Tatus Festival, presented by Canoe Cultures Society, celebrating Indigenous music, art, food and culture, as well as the unveiling of a new permanent outdoor exhibit honouring the history of Japanese Canadians detained at Hastings Park in 1942.

With 642,149 guests attending the 2026 PNE Fair, the event once again demonstrated its unique ability to bring British Columbians together through a combination of tradition, innovation and shared summer experiences.
