Rehana Din To Be Awarded The Vancouver International Skal Tourism Award For 2026

Vancouver International Skal Club today announced that local tourism leader, Rehana Din, the President and CEO of BC Pavilion Corporation (Pavco), will be presented with the Bill Rowe – Skal Tourism Award at its annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Vancouver Club in downtown Vancouver.

Named after long time Skal member and Air Canada executive; Bill Rowe, the award is presented to an individual or company who has notably, over an extended period, enhanced the development of tourism within the region, and has contributed to the industry throughout their career.

“Rehana was nominated for the Skal Award for her contribution to the tourism industry, and for having made a significant impact on the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2026, and the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025,” said Vancouver International Skal President, Randy Vannatter.  “She is also recognized for her mentorship of many emerging South Asian & female leaders in the hospitality industry”.

Vancouver Skal Club members and local tourism industry executives created the Skal Tourism Award in 2003, with past recipients including Graham Clarke, Peter Armstrong, Nancy Stibbard, Rick Antonson, Ingrid Jarrett, Steve Halliday, Jim Storie, Sue Daugulis, and organizations such as Destination Canada,  Destination Vancouver, the Vancouver Airport Authority, and the Vancouver Attractions Group.

“We look forward to presenting the Vancouver Skal Bill Rowe Memorial Tourism Award to Rehana at the Skal Club Gala on Thursday, November 12th.and wish to invite the entire tourism industry to be in attendance and show their appreciation to this worthy recipient”, said Vannatter.

About Rehana Din

Rehana Din was appointed as PavCo’s President and CEO, effective May 9, 2026, after previously serving as the Crown corporation’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Pavco, Rehana served as the Chief Financial Officer at Gateway Casinos & Entertainment.
