RAVNEET DUGGAL: EMBRACING REINVENTION BEYOND THE COMFORT ZONE

For many women, building a career and raising a family can leave little time to explore parts of themselves beyond everyday responsibilities. Yet reaching a settled stage in life can also raise a different question: what else is still possible?

For Vancouver-based professional Ravneet Duggal, that question led her into unfamiliar territory. With more than 13 years of experience in enterprise risk, a family life, and an ongoing interest in women’s health awareness, she recently stepped onto a pageant stage for the first time.

Her experience at Glammonn Mrs India Worldwide 2026 earned her 1st Runner-Up, but the bigger takeaway has been trying something she had never considered part of her life.

A New Experience After an Established Career. Ravneet’s professional life has largely been built around governance, leadership, and responsible decision-making. The pageant world offered something very different and challenging.

Stage appearances, public speaking, and learning to be comfortable in front of an audience pushed her beyond what she was accustomed to. Instead of viewing the experience as a departure from her professional identity, she approached it as an opportunity to discover another side of herself.

That willingness to try something unfamiliar became a key part of the journey.

The experience also reflects a broader shift in how women approach personal goals after marriage and motherhood. A career or family does not necessarily mark the point at which individual ambitions are put aside. For some women, it can be the stage at which they begin exploring interests they had previously left untouched.

Keeping an Identity Beyond the Roles

Ravneet’s life includes several roles. She is a corporate professional, mother, wife, and founder of the Fertility Circle Community, an initiative focused on fertility awareness, medical literacy, and more open conversations about women’s health.

But she believes these roles should not fully define an individual.

“Never let the roles you play make you forget who you are” is the personal belief that has come to define her approach to life.

For her, this does not mean stepping away from family or professional obligations.

Instead, it means making room for personal interests and ambitions alongside them.

Her decision to enter the pageant extended that idea.

Finding Confidence in the Unfamiliar

A particular kind of confidence comes from doing something you already know how to do. Trying something completely new is different.

The pageant gave her the chance to experience that difference. She had to learn, adapt, and get comfortable being seen in a setting outside her usual professional environment.

The 1st Runner-Up title was the visible outcome, but the process itself offered a more personal lesson: confidence can also come from allowing yourself to be a beginner.

That can be especially meaningful at a time in life when people often feel expected to have everything figured out.

Making Space for New Dreams

Ravneet’s work in fertility awareness and women’s well-being continues alongside her professional career. Her family has also remained an important part of her journey.

Rather than choosing among these different parts of her life, she has tried to make space for each of them.

Her story offers a simple perspective on reinvention. Starting something new doesn’t necessarily mean abandoning what you’ve already built. Sometimes it simply means adding another dimension to your existing life.

For women who may feel that certain opportunities belong only to their younger years, this can be an important reminder.

There is no fixed point at which curiosity, ambition, or the desire to try something different must end.

The pageant stage became one such opportunity for Ravneet. What began as a step outside her comfort zone resulted in a new experience, a new challenge, and a different understanding of herself.

The crown may have marked the end of the competition, but the more personal journey is about what comes after, continuing to grow, making room for new interests, and remembering that reinvention can happen at any stage of life.
