RICHMOND, B.C. — August 25, 2026 — Following a successful inaugural year, Pacific Autism Family Network (PAFN), in partnership with the Pooni Group Foundation (PGF), is excited to announce the return of Brick-by-Brick: Building Meaningful Inclusion—a creative and charitable LEGO® design competition raising funds for autism focused programs across British Columbia.
The 2026 competition invites architects, developers, community organizations, students, and local teams from across the province to recreate “Iconic B.C. Moments” using LEGO®. From Expo ’86 and the 2010 Vancouver Olympics to memorable cultural and community milestones, participants are encouraged to bring defining moments in British Columbia’s history to life through imaginative and story-driven builds.
Like last year’s challenge, teams will approach the competition like a professional design brief—selecting a moment, conducting research, developing concepts, gathering materials, and constructing a detailed LEGO® model. Entries will be evaluated on creativity, storytelling, building technique, and presentation.
In its inaugural year, Brick-by-Brick raised more than $40,000 in support of PAFN programming for Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals and their families throughout British Columbia.
“Brick-by-Brick has been a meaningful and creative way to bring our community together for a great cause,” said Bailey Stam, Co-Executive Director of PAFN. “The funds raised directly support the daily operations of our amazing programs, including Learn 4 Independence, Paper Planes Café, Little Pilots Inclusive Daycare, and JET.”
“Last year we saw an incredible response from our industry,” says Gary Pooni, President of Pooni Group and Director of PGF. “We are excited to build on that momentum. We want this event to grow year after year.”
All builds will be showcased at PAFN’s LAUNCH Holiday Luncheon on November 26, 2026, in front of more than 700 guests from across the business, design, and community sectors, with additional promotion through social media.
How to Participate
● Assemble a team: Gather friends, colleagues, classmates, or family members and register to participate in the competition.
● Choose your iconic B.C. moment: Teams will select and recreate a memorable moment, event, or cultural milestone from British Columbia’s history using LEGO® bricks.
● Build and submit your creation: Teams will develop and construct their models ahead of the judging and public showcase.
Registration is now open, with opportunities available for both participating teams and sponsors interested in supporting community group involvement.
All proceeds from the Brick-by-Brick competition directly support PAFN programs focused on employment training, life skills development, inclusive recreation, and community engagement for Autistic and otherwise neurodivergent individuals and their families across British Columbia.
