Lucid Motors, based in California, has operated since 2020 and produces expensive, luxury all-electric sedans and SUVs to compete with the best European EV models, such as the Porsche Taycan, Audi RS e-tron GT, BMW i7, and Mercedes-AMG EQE sedan.
For 2026, Lucid offers the Air – a sleek four-door sedan – as well as the new Gravity SUV. The Air is a luxury, fully loaded, premium car with superb acceleration, attention to detail, and finishing. For 2026, all Air models receive additional standard driver aids, along with a more efficient heat pump, a better-performing driver interface, and improved technology hardware.

The Lucid Air is offered in four distinct versions. The entry-level rear-drive Pure model has 430 horsepower and can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The Touring model comes next and adds twin electric motors and All-Wheel-Drive. The two motors combine to produce 620 horsepower, and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is an even quicker 3.6 seconds.
The two other models dramatically increase electric power and performance. The two-motor Grand Touring offers a mighty 819 horsepower and a mind-bending 0 to 100 km/h time of 3.2 seconds. The ultimate Lucid Air model is the incredible Sapphire version. It receives a third electric motor, and the All-Wheel-Drive powertrain delivers a stupendous 1,234 hp and 1,430+ lb-ft of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is a blink of an eye, 2.0 seconds! The top speed for this model is 330 kilometers per hour. These figures make the Lucid Air Sapphire the world’s quickest-accelerating production sedan. The Sapphire has a high-performance EV driving range of approximately 687-748 km.
The Air Pure with the 88-kWh battery delivers an EV driving range of 676 km. The Touring version uses a larger 93-kWh battery and offers an EV driving range of 694 km. The Grand Touring features the high-capacity 112-kWh battery, delivering a driving range of 824 km.

In terms of EV charging, the Lucid has some impressive numbers – you can add 320 km of driving range to the Air’s battery using a DC fast charger in 16 minutes for the Pure and Touring versions. The larger battery-equipped Grand Touring and Sapphire take 12 and 15 minutes, respectively. All models have an 800-volt architecture and use Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) charger plug.
Regarding the cabin, the Air has a plush, highly technology-led, driver-centric cockpit dominated by a huge 34-inch OLED glass display that handles most driver information and entertainment, plus all car control functions. There is also a 12.5-inch portrait-style retractable Pilot Panel control center for vehicle functions and settings. The infotainment system now supports Android Auto via over-the-air updates. Technology includes wireless Apple CarPlay and an optional audiophile-quality Surreal Sound Pro audio system with 21 speakers. The immersive audio system integrates Dolby Atmos technology to provide directional, 3D sound. There is a heavy reliance on multiple screens and menus to operate the car’s functions, with few tactile controls.
Otherwise, the cabin feels opulent, with comfortable front seats and sustainable materials. The “Mojave PurLuxe” interior trim uses recycled fabrics, open-pore wood trim, and high-quality leather alternatives. Real leather trim is available for an extra cost. The back seat comfortably accommodates a pair of tall adults. Cargo space is also plentiful, with a 283L frunk (front trunk) and a 627L rear trunk. When the rear seats are folded, Lucid says the Air offers 1,835 L of space.
Canadian pricing starts with the rear-drive Air Pure at $99,900 and ends with the top-of-the-range $327,300 Sapphire, which includes all available features. Safety aids include the Lucid DreamDrive Pro driver-assistance suite, which uses 32 sensors—including LiDAR—plus Drive Assist with active lane centering.
