Vancouver, BC — Everything Electric VANCOUVER powered by BC Hydro Power smart closed its 2025 edition this weekend with strong attendance and enthusiasm, further establishing British Columbia as the epicentre of Canada’s clean energy movement. For three days, the Vancouver Convention Centre buzzed with hands-on test drives, live expert talks, and practical solutions for a future beyond fossil fuels.

From September 5–7, more than 23,000 attendees explored the latest in electric vehicles, home energy technologies, and clean innovations. The momentum built on last year’s success, highlighting British Columbian’s interest in sustainable transportation and energy solutions.

Earlier this summer, an Everything Electric survey revealed BC’s leadership in the clean energy transition, with nearly half of residents already owning or planning to buy an EV and more than 40% saying they’ll never return to gas-powered vehicles. The 2025 event put those findings into practice: long test drive waitlists, packed theatre sessions, and strong engagement at the Home Energy Advice Zone demonstrated how quickly British Columbians are embracing electrification.

Organizers confirmed the event will continue to return annually, with Vancouver cemented as its Canadian home. CEO Dan Caesar says the continued reception from BC residents demonstrates the city’s central role in Canada’s electrification journey.

“Each year in Vancouver we see the conversation moving forward – more people trying EVs, more families exploring home energy options, and more businesses stepping up with solutions,” said Caesar. “This city has shown time and again that it’s ready to lead, and Everything Electric will continue to grow with it.”

Once again, the show delivered Canada’s most comprehensive electric vehicle test drive program, providing ~3,000 test drives to attendees from over 50 models and more than 20 manufacturers over the weekend. Highlights included Canadian debuts of the 2026 Nissan Leaf, alongside crowd favourites such as the KIA EV9, Chevy Silverado, Polestar 4 and many more.

Attendees also enjoyed micro-mobility rides with the latest e-bikes, scooters, and boards on the dedicated Micromobility test track. The BC Hydro Ask An Energy Expert booth offered one-on-one consultations covering solar, batteries, EV charging, heat pumps, and smart energy use – directly addressing survey findings that many residents remain unaware of cost-saving programs and clean energy options.

More than 50 live sessions were hosted across two theatres, featuring expert panels, interactive workshops, and “Electric Fireside” chats with innovators and industry leaders. From debunking EV myths to exploring grid innovation and smart homes, the sessions provided inspiration and real-world takeaways.
