Purolator Tackle Hunger Raises More Than $91,000 for Breakfast Club of Canada

Organization hosts first-ever Breakfast for Kids campaign to support children across the country

TORONTO, April 7, 2025  – Purolator’s inaugural Breakfast for Kids campaign raised more than $91,000 in support of Breakfast Club of Canada, providing the equivalent of approximately 45,500 nutritious breakfasts for Canadian children*. Throughout National Nutrition Month, Purolator’s employees came together to help address the critical issue of one in three children being at risk of going to school hungry.

From March 1-31, Purolator teams organized numerous fundraising initiatives including bake sales, raffles, a hockey game and even a pie-in-the-face fundraiser, to support this important cause. Purolator matched all contributions to increase its impact.

“Our employees stepped up again to put our communities first and make a meaningful difference during these challenging economic times,” said John Ferguson, President and CEO, Purolator. “Our team’s collective efforts will go a long way toward helping children across the country have a better start to their day. We’re proud to partner with Breakfast Club of Canada and will continue to find innovative ways to support the important work they do to help Canadian children.”

Breakfast for Kids is part of Purolator’s employee-led initiative, Purolator Tackle Hunger, which delivered nearly 2.4 million pounds of food to Canadian food banks in 2024. This marks the third year Purolator Tackle Hunger has partnered with Breakfast Club of Canada.

“Breakfast Club of Canada is deeply grateful to all Purolator employees who contributed to the Breakfast for Kids campaign, making it possible for us to offer children across Canada a nutritious breakfast to start their school day,” said Angel D’Andrea, National Director, Philanthropy, Breakfast Club of Canada.
