Surrey – On Saturday (April 5th), Surrey’s NDP MLAs, Minister Garry Begg, Minister Jagrup Brar, PS Amna Shah, PS Jessie Sunner, and Delta MLA Ravi Kahlon co-hosted their annual Eid celebration.
Residents from across Surrey were invited to a prayer led by Imam Malik Erfan, followed by music from local singer Vasundhara.
The event also marked the first Eid celebration hosted by MLA Amna Shah, the first-ever elected Muslim woman MLA in BC.
