Rob Fleming, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, has issued the following statement to acknowledge and celebrate National Trucking Week:
“Truck drivers have always been the backbone of our economy, but it has never been more apparent than over the past year and a half. During this National Trucking Week, I would like to thank all workers who have stepped up during the pandemic, delivering the essential goods we all rely on.
“From keeping our grocery store shelves stocked to making sure essential goods reach their destinations, truckers have been invaluable to helping all of us manage through these unprecedented times.
“We value your commitment, your dedication and your professionalism. From all British Columbians, thank you.”
