Family Services of Greater Vancouver: Free Family Day Pop-Up Event

Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) and the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) have once again partnered up to host a Family Day Pop-Up on Wednesday, February 12 from 10am-2pm at VPL’s Central Library in downtown Vancouver.

Family Services of Greater Vancouver (FSGV) and the Vancouver Public Library (VPL) have once again partnered up to host a Family Day Pop-Up on Wednesday, February 12 from 10am-2pm at VPL’s Central Library in downtown Vancouver.

While inflation has stabilized in recent months, many families in the Lower Mainland continue to struggle with basic needs like food and shelter. FSGV and VPL’s Family Day pop-up event hopes to broaden knowledge and access to financial supports and resources for families from all walks of life.

The free drop-in event offers an array of fun, engaging activities for the entire family, short, interactive workshops, and access to coaches, counsellors, and resources.

Event Details:

  • VPL Central Library – 350 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC
  • Wednesday, February 12 from 10am – 2pm
  • Free – open to the public; no registration or tickets necessary
  • Financial coaches available to share financial stability tips and government benefits resources
  • Resource workers present to help navigate community support systems
  • FSGV family counsellors and resource workers in attendance to provide education and recommendations to community supports and resources based on each family’s unique needs
  • Fun, engaging workshops and activities for parents and children, including colouring, dancing and origami
