The First West Foundation, through its Envision Financial Community Endowment, is granting $667,600 this year – a total of 45 grants – to deserving charities throughout the Fraser Valley, Lower Mainland and Kitimat regions.
Nature offers a lot to teach us. Each fragment of nature has a story to tell—from the sun to all the plants surrounding us. Observing nature beautifully explains the simple adage of “You reap what you sow.” When we sow watermelon seeds, we could only expect a watermelon vine to grow. Similarly, the sun and the moon teach us to keep going irrespective of how bad the climate is. Life has to go on, and one needs to accept all the ups and downs and battle them within his capacity.
