The BCIBN team together with GIV Society gathered on September 26th, 2020 to prepare meals for the underprivileged. A few hundred meals were prepared and then donated to the three different shelters in the Lower Mainland.
The Tim Horton’s annual Smile Cookie Campaign raised over $163,000 for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation this year. The Smile Cookie campaign runs once a year, this year between September 16-22, 2020.

This two-week online fundraising campaign features a community raffle and an online auction.

A new Click on Surrey program has been developed and launched by the Downtown Surrey Business Improvement Association (DSBIA) to help the downtown core’s diverse small business community transition to an online business model.

A year ago, actress Agam Darshi was shooting in Sri Lanka on Deepa Mehta’s newest film Funny Boy, based off of the acclaimed book by Shyam Selvadurai. “Everything about the project was a dream come true. I had been a great admirer of Deepa’s for a long time and wanted to work with her. But to work with her on this film, and on thischaracter, is more than I could have asked for,” says Agam.
Sunny Hill Health Centre is the only pediatric developmental care and rehabilitation centre of its kind in BC. Patients here may be recovering from life-altering events like traumatic injuries or strokes, or receive assessments or care for developmental conditions like cerebral palsy. These children often show resilience beyond their years.
