The Dance Centre presents the Discover Dance! Series

The Dance Centre’s popular and long-running Discover Dance! noon series begins a new season with a performance by the Vancouver-based Bharatanatyam artist Sujit Vaidya. Known for working both within and beyond traditional Bharatanatyam, he will share a stimulating presentation of excerpts from dances passed down through the generations, as well as new creations, in a conversation between past and present, accompanied by live music from Curtis Andrews (Mridangam – drum), Arno Kamolika (Nattuvangam – cymbals), Sheema Balakrishnan (vocals) and Shriram Rajagopalan (violin). There will be an artist talkback after the show.
