YWCA Metro Vancouver welcomes the provincial government’s commitment to BC’s non-profit sector with the appointment of Niki Sharma as Parliamentary Secretary of Community Development and Non-Profits. The appointment comes at a time when nearly one in four non-profits report being at risk of closing their doors as a result of COVID-19.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will play a critical role in the building and implementation of the club’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.
This week the City of Surrey launched its new #LightWhereYouLive campaign, a community engagement project to help illuminate spirits, and the City over the winter months. The campaign encourages the community to help make Surrey’s neighbourhoods festive and bright by decorating homes and businesses with lights and bright colours, while encouraging that participants share their contributions on social media.

Attendees connected with hundreds of marketers across Canada through a chat feature and explored an online platform that featured a mixologist, magician, photo booth, giveaways and more. The show was emceed by returning host, Rick Campanelli.
