The 2020 Lincoln MKZ is a luxury premium sedan from the storied American automaker. It has always been a good looking car with its sleek fastback roofline and defined side profile. Nicely rendered LED lights, a chrome Lincoln family grille tasteful brightwork accents, and a sleek rear light bar are also distinct touches. For 2020 active safety technology has been added as standard equipment on the MKZ with Lincolns CO-PILOT360™ suite of technology that includes: A Lane-Keeping System to help you stay centered. Blind Spot Detection with Cross-Traffic Alert to help you stay aware. Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking. Also included in a suite of technologies is Automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warnings, active lane control, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control are all inclusive.
The MKZ is due for an updated replacement at some point to bring it to the same standard as the rest of the revamped and very well executed Lincoln lineup, but for now, still represents excellent value in terms of pricing, content and luxury.
The MKZ lineup has been simplified to just two trims for 2020, Standard and Reserve, at around $48,841in base from, the MKZ is great value with: 18-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, 10-way power front seats with heat, 11 speaker audio with Bluetooth connectivity, LED lights, a digital gauge cluster, and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen.
A 2.0-liter turbo-4 with 245 horsepower is standard on the 2020 MKZ, while a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 delivers 400 hp. All-wheel drive is standard for Canada. The MKZ also comes in hybrid form too, with a combined system horsepower of the Hybrid at 188 hp comprising of a 2.0-litre Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder/electric motor delivering an estimated 5.5 L/100 km in the city and 5.7L/100Km on the highway and a combined 5.6L/100 km.
The 2020 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is a superbly impressive premium luxury car, it’s a sedan which is best used as a highway cruiser. The Reserve models features and refinements ratchets up the cars price to the top in it segment. However having said that, the 2020 Lincoln MKZ is better value in the base range where not a lot of finery is missing. Inspired looks, superb detailing and a competitive pricing make this luxury sedan one to put on the list.
