BC NDP MLAs Attend GVTCA Annual Spring Gala

On Saturday, April 5th, a Certificate of Congratulations was presented to the Greater Vancouver Taiwanese Canadian Association (GVTCA) at the Annual Spring Gala by MLA Sunita Dhir (Vancouver-Langara), MLA Anne Kang (Burnaby Centre), MLA Paul Choi (Burnaby South-Metrotown), and MLA Kelly Greene (Richmond-Steveston).

Outstanding South Asian Individuals Honoured with the Coronation Medal

Tony Singh, Balraj Mann, Perminder Tung and Raj Hundal have been recognized for their remarkable contributions with the Coronation Medal, a Canadian honour commemorating the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. This distinguished accolade is awarded to individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada and their home province of British Columbia. Special ceremony took place at the Government House in Victoria, BC.

Equity Deserving Charities Given $189,294 Boost

First West Foundation is thrilled to announce that 15 charities recently received SOAR grants, sharing in a total of $189,294. Created in 2022, SOAR is a First West Foundation funding stream dedicated to supporting equity-deserving organizations serving racialized communities, and those led by and serving Black, Brown, Indigenous, and persons of colour.
