B.C. Honours Excellence in Nursing

The Association of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC), the professional association in the province representing all four nursing designations, is proud to honour the exceptional individuals who have demonstrated excellence in nursing practice including ‘rising stars’ in the profession, lifetime achievement, research, advocacy, innovation, education and leadership at the 2020 Nursing Awards of Excellence.

MICHAEL CHING DONATES $250,000 TO RICHMOND HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Mr. Michael Ching, a real estate developer in Vancouver and Richmond, has generously donated $200,000 to the new acute care tower in Richmond. Extending his generosity even further, Mr. Ching has partnered with South China Morning Post, donating $50,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Surgical Restart campaign.

Director, Diversity, Inclusion and Community

We are seeking the right individual to become our first Director, Diversity, Inclusion and Community. 
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director will play a critical role in the building and implementation of the club’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

City of Surrey launched Light Where You Live Campaign aims to brighten spirits this Holiday season

This week the City of Surrey launched its new #LightWhereYouLive campaign, a community engagement project to help illuminate spirits, and the City over the winter months. The campaign encourages the community to help make Surrey’s neighbourhoods festive and bright by decorating homes and businesses with lights and bright colours, while encouraging that participants share their contributions on social media.

Subaru Canada named top winner at 2020 CMA Awards Show

The Gala, presented by TD, honoured the best in Canadian marketing, with more than 1,300 marketers registered to attend the immersive online experience built exclusively for the event. Attendees connected with hundreds of marketers across Canada through a chat feature and explored an online platform that featured a mixologist, magician, photo booth, giveaways and more. The show was emceed by returning host, Rick Campanelli.
