Raj Toor thanks the Mayor Doug McCallum and council for recognizing the Komagata Maru Passengers and renaming 75A Avenue Komagata Maru Way and for the storyboard in Nicholson Park. This was requested by him in November 2018 on behalf of the Descendants of the Komagata Maru Society.
On July 31st, City of Surrey Respected Mayor Doug McCallum and the council officially unveiled the Komagata Maru Way street sign. Raj was officially invited and other descendants in the historical event. He delivered a speech at the event, Raj and Mayor Doug McCallum unveiled the Komagata Maru Way sign.
