Polly Sidhu who is 57 years of age decided to change her life in her fifties, she chose her health over other things, and to become fit both mentally and physically. Having lived a life of many successes as well as struggles, she knew that she needed to change and that is exactly what she did. She is currently training to compete in fitness competitions. Despite being told that she was ‘too old’ to begin anything at this age, Polly is firm on her decision to carve a path for herself within the fitness realm.  Although she has always been an active person but had never lifted a weight or wore gym clothes prior to just a year ago. She feels that there is a stigma around such things that could be age or culture related but then again due to her sheer determination, her focus is only on her goal. There are many who also support her decision such as close members of her family, friends and colleagues and most often times, just strangers who also encourage and applaud her transformation. Polly says that “ age is simply a number, not a limitation and if you want to do something then you should make it your utmost priority.”

Gunpreet Sodhi started her fitness journey about 14 years ago, she is a certified personal trainer who is currently also enrolled in a Bachelors of Kinesiology program. When she started her fitness journey many years ago, she didn’t think of making fitness her career. She is very passionate about helping people change their lives through the medium of fitness. She is dedicated to help men and women achieve their strongest self, mentally and physically. She says “As I never got an opportunity to be in sports, so fitness was my only way to become active at the time.” and “Before the physical change, I noticed inner change, as I became more confident and stronger which made me happier with myself.” Gym is Gunpreet’s second home as she is now a full-time trainer for many and she wishes to share her fitness knowledge with as many people as possible so that they can achieve their fitness goals as well. Her mission in life is to uplift women especially South Asian women and make them stronger physically and mentally so that they fall in love with themselves and their bodies.
