Jamie Banfield Design’s motto is “We believe design should be accessible and approachable,” and their team specializes in creating stylish, well-executed rooms for all areas of the home. Their trusted relationships with builders, contractors, trades, and suppliers ensure each project is seamlessly executed from beginning to end.

Growing up, Jamie was always interested in design. “I would make designs with Lego; I would find some paint and repaint some furniture, I would go through real estate magazines and take some of the designs and sketch my own houses,” he recalls. While still in high school, Jamie had the opportunity to work in construction, alongside electricians, plumbers, and floor layers, where he learned first-hand the process by which plans and designs turn into real spaces within a home.

After spending some time at a design firm, Jamie decided it was time to branch out on his own, so about five years ago he started Jamie Banfield Design. Innovative and forward thinking, the Team at Jamie Banfield Design are committed to designing spaces within residences that are stylish, sustainable, and strategically engineered. “We want the design to be attainable, accessible and tangible. We look at people’s budgets and needs, and we are typically able to find solutions that will work for them,” Jamie advises.  A multiple award-winning interior designer, Jamie is recognized for his signature West Coast style.

Jamie Banfield Design prioritizes the relationship with clients. All of their design relationships begin with a “meet + inspire,” a complimentary 90-minute session, where the Team works closely with clients to gain an understanding of their needs and expectations. Some discussions that take place during the 90-minute session include space planning, design problem-solving, colors, style, wish-list, budgets, and timelines.

Once hired, the Team presents a cohesive interior design concept – a starting point that provides a visual presentation of the overall look, style, and feel of the space. This coherent design concept also touches upon how best to utilize the space while fully considering client budget and needs. The client is an integral partner throughout the process, reviewing the concept at each step to ensure everything is moving in the right direction.

The Jamie Banfield Design Team’s specialized skills, design experience and attention to detail allow them to create an all-inclusive plan that will take the interior design concept to reality. At this stage, other vital contacts such as on-site trades and manufacturers are included in the dialogue with clients to ensure everyone is on the same page. This constant attention to the client relationship makes Jamie Banfield Design a leader within the industry.

“Most recently Jamie Banfield’s designs were on display at the BC Home + Garden Show where his team transformed a 34-foot Yurt, blending indoor and outdoor living into one bringing his teams’ signature Pacific Northwest style to life for Showgoers to explore.” Jamie also designed the Show Lounge, and BC Hydro’s Dave’s House + Garage at the Show

“It is great to see when your project comes to life, and then to see how positively your clients react to the finished project,” Jamie clarifies. “Our clients and their needs are always our priority.”
