The Vancouver Vegetarian Society (VVS) held their Inaugural Dinner launch event at the picturesque Silk Lounge in Gastown Vancouver on Friday, May 10th. By all accounts, it was a huge success!

Supporters of VVS as well as a diverse group of academics, artists and entrepreneurs joined founders Shawn and Aarti Goyal to celebrate the launch of this non-profit society.  Shawn Goyal explained “we are a multi-cultural social group that aims to bring together like-minded individuals and families who are dedicated to promoting a healthy, compassionate and environmentally friendly lifestyle.”

VVS outlined their vision of a lifestyle that is vibrant, modern and progressive yet is compassionate and sustainable.  VVS aims to inspire the broader community through social events and raise awareness about the benefits of a plant-based diet.

Drinks flowed and delectable plant-based meals were shared as guests socialized and networked late into the night.

Congratulations to Shawn & Aarti Goyal for launching this new initiative!
