Star Wars: Episode IX (Sci Fi, Adventure, Family)

Star Wars: Episode IX   produced, co-written, and directed by J. J. Abrams will be the third and final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy following The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017).  Daisy Ridley stars as Rey, an orphaned girl from the planet Jakku and a Jedi mentored by Luke Skywalker. Adam Driver appear as Kylo Ren, the master of the Knights of Ren and Supreme Leader of the First Order. John Boyega reappears as Finn, a former stormtrooper from the First Order who joins the Resistance. Mark Hamill meanwhile, reprises his role as Luke Skywalker. Anthony Daniels stars as C-3PO, while Billy Dee Williams cameos as Lando Calrissian, an old friend of Han and Leia, and a veteran general of the Rebel Alliance. Carrie Fisher  as Leia Organa, the twin sister of Luke Skywalker, and leading general of the Resistance. Fisher, who died in late 2016, will appear through the use of unreleased footage from The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Bumblebee (Sci Fi adventure, Family)

Bumblebee is a   science fiction action film centered on the Transformers character of the same name. It is the sixth installment of the live-action Transformers film series and a prequel to 2007’s Transformers. The film is directed by Travis Knight and stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., John Ortiz, Jason Drucker, and Pamela Adlon. It is also the first live-action Transformers film not to be directed by Michael Bay, though he still acts as a producer.  Twenty years before the events of the first film, in 1987, the transformer Bumblebee takes refuge in a small California beach town junkyard, where a teenage girl named Charlie Watson takes him in. However, the two of them soon find themselves hunted by a government agency known as Sector 7, led by Agent Burns. As they run from society, the two learn that Bumblebee isn’t the only Transformer on Earth, and that the others might not be as friendly.

Aquaman (Sci Fi adventure, Family)

Aquaman is a   superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is intended to be the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by James Wan. It stars Jason Momoa as the title character, with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles.   In Aquaman, Jason Momoa in the title role is the half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry, a king and the reluctant heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, who must step forward to lead his people against his brother, Orm, who seeks to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world. The hero will embark on the journey of his lifetime — one that will not only force him to face who he really is but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be.

Welcome to Marwen (Drama)

Welcome to Marwen is a drama film inspired by Jeff Malmberg’s 2010 documentary Marwencol. The film stars Steve Carell, Leslie Mann, Diane Kruger, Merritt Wever, Janelle Monáe, Eiza González, Gwendoline Christie, Leslie Zemeckis, and Neil Jackson. In the film, Mark Hogancamp (Steve Carell), suffers a devastating attack that wipes away all memories, and with no hope of expected recovery. Putting together pieces from his old and new life, Mark meticulously creates a wondrous town where he can heal and be heroic. As he builds an astonishing art installation—a testament to the most powerful women he knows—through his fantasy world, he draws strength to triumph in the real one. A Dog’s Way Home (Family adventure Drama)

A Dog’s Way Home is a family drama film directed by Charles Martin Smith and written by W. Bruce Cameron and Cathryn Michon, based on the book by Cameron. The film stars Ashley Judd, Edward James Olmos, Alexandra Shipp, Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Studi, Chris Bauer, Barry Watson and Jonah Hauer-King. The film follows the journey and heartwarming adventures of Bella, a dog who embarks on an epic 400-mile journey home after she is separated from her beloved human, Lucas, an aspiring med student and VA hospital volunteer. Bella touches the lives of many during her unwavering quest; from an orphaned mountain lion cub to a homeless veteran down on his luck, Bella brings joy and comfort to everyone she meets with her unique spirit and faith.
