Vancouver hosted its annual Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Fundraising Gala Dinner on November 20, 2022 at the Taj Park Convention Centre to help build the Karachi Hospital that is nearing completion and due to start operations in December 2023. The Karachi Hospital is the third and will be the largest Cancer Treatment Hospital in Pakistan. It is twice the size of Surrey Memorial Hospital and will offer free treatment to the needy.
Thanks to everyone’s heartiest donations, over $225k were raised for this noble cause. The event was well attended by over 450 people. The evening featured a media wall highlighting all the sponsors for our event, along with many other fun spots to take photographs, such as our rickshaw. We are grateful for our Gold Sponsors that included Omni Blinds, Van Gogh Designs and AMC Insurance for their support.
The night ended on a musical note with a rocking performance by Amanat Ali.
